July 18: Founding ceremony
On this day, after a puja, we mark the start of the future projects of Kindful Wisdom at Kremsegg Castle. The foundation is solemnly celebrated with greetings, honorary speeches and a cultural program.

An inspiring, profound and meaningful seminar with teachings on Buddhist philosophy, perspective and meditation.
Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche will teach on “Kindful Wisdom” and Phakchok Rinpoche will teach on “Awakening Dignity”.

Spend the night in the castle …
You can spend the night in a simple multi-bed dormitory at Kremsegg Castle.
… Overnight stay in external accommodation
You can stay in a hotel, hostel, Airbnb or other accommodation in the Kremsmünster area.
You can find hotels in the region on this website.
Accommodation in Linz or Wels is also possible, even if you are traveling by public transport. Trains to Linz leave approximately every two hours and the train station is about 6 minutes away from the castle. There is also the “Schloss Kremsegg” bus stop, from where you can travel to Wels.
… Camping
Camping with tents or camper vans is not possible at Kremsegg Castle. However, there is a campsite in Kremsmünster.
Daily joint task
To ensure that the seminar runs smoothly, all participants are asked to help with a small task during the day. The time required is up to 45 minutes.
Seminar fee without overnight stay
Costs of the seminar
The seminar fee is € 90 per day and includes all instruction and practical sessions as well as lunch at the venue.
We also offer breakfast and dinner at the seminar venue for a donation of
7 euros for breakfast and 11 euros for dinner.
No seminar fee will be charged on June 18. On this day, we invite all seminar participants to play a leading role in the founding ceremony as hosts. Thank you for your help.
Seminar fee with overnight stay in dormitory
Costs of the seminar
The seminar fee is € 90 per day and includes all instruction and practical sessions as well as lunch at the venue.
The Overnight stay in a dormitory including breakfast costs € 35 per night.
Donation guideline for dinner: 11 €.
No seminar fee will be charged on June 18. On this day, we invite all seminar participants to play a leading role in the founding ceremony as hosts. Thank you for your help.
On June 18th it will be possible to spend the night in the castle and there will also be breakfast on June 19th.
Reduced seminar fee and voluntary help to cover the costs
Reduced seminar fee
A reduced seminar fee is possible for persons under 26 years of age, pupils, students, apprentices, pensioners/senior citizens, persons registered as unemployed and persons with disabilities. If necessary, we ask for appropriate proof of eligibility.
The reduced seminar fee is € 70 per day.
Covering the costs through voluntary help
July 13-21
To enable people with limited financial means to participate in the July seminar and retreat, we are offering three volunteer opportunities.
Participation is by application.

All three options include accommodation in a dormitory and meals in exchange for volunteering.
The volunteer period listed below is in addition to the seminar and retreat itself, which take place from July 13-21. Volunteering does not have to be done in one go. Volunteers can come at different times over the next three months, as long as the total volunteering period is the required number of weeks.
Volunteers are also expected to assist during the Seminar, Founding Celebration and Retreat whenever there are no teachings.
Please note: “Main teachings” refers exclusively to teachings given by a Rinpoche.
Option 1: Volunteer for 4 weeks or longer
In addition to the seminar and retreat period
Volunteers who help for a total of 4 weeks or more can attend all the main teachings of Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche and Phakchok Rinpoche without paying the seminar fee.

Participation in all main teachings by a Rinpoche
The 4 weeks of voluntary assistance can be completed at any time within the next three months and divided into several shorter periods as long as they add up to a total of 4 weeks or more.
Option 2: Voluntary assistance for 2-3 weeks
In addition to the seminar and retreat period
Volunteers who help out for a total of 2 to 3 weeks receive accommodation in the dormitory and meals in exchange for their voluntary help.
You can participate in the main teachings of Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche and Phakchok Rinpoche with a 50% discount on the seminar fee.

Voluntary assistance can be divided into several shorter periods as long as they total 2-3 weeks.
Option 3: Volunteering for less than 2 weeks
In addition to the seminar and retreat period
Volunteers who help for less than 2 weeks receive accommodation in the dormitory and meals in exchange for their volunteer work.
You are welcome to attend the training sessions, but the full seminar fee applies.
