COMING FROM ALL DIRECTIONS
Go to Wels, there change to the local train headed to “Grünau im Almtal”, get off in Viechtwang.
The Viechtwang stop is a request stop so make sure to press the STOP button in time.
From Viechtwang you can book the “Traunstein Taxi” (One hour in advance). See below at “Pick Up”.
FROM VIENNA AIRPORT
From the airport you can take a direct train every hour to Wels.
There change to the train to “Grünau im Almtal” and get off at VIECHTWANG
FROM SALZBURG OR LINZ AIRPORT
Take the train (see above for directions) or take a SMS taxi. The SMS taxi service runs from all airports in the area to one’s chosen destination. It is a reasonably priced and comfortable alternative. More info: www.flughafentransfer.at

The cab takes you directly to the Gomde stop.
It costs 3 euros and must be booked at least 1 h in advance.
If you still need us to pick you up, please let us know in time.
Please note, that we too will ask for a small contribution for your pickup.
Pickups from Linz, Vienna or Salzburg airports are not possible.
FROM VIENNA OR SALZBURG
A1 exit Vorchdorf, at the first roundabout take the third exit, direction Gmunden, follow the road, at the second roundabout go straight, follow the road, turn right towards Gmunden. After crossing the railway tracks and the “Vorchdorf Ende” sign turn left and follow the road for about 15 minutes to Hagemühle. Before the dead end on the right, take the service road (so called “Güterweg”) up to Bäckerberg, another 10 min. until after a wooded area you will see a sign for Gomde at the second turnoff. Then past a farm and the snack station “Derischleiten” on the left, you will see Gomde on your right and can park your car in a designated lot.
FROM GMUNDEN
Drive to Scharnstein, from there follow the signs to Viechtwang, after you have gone downhill, take the turn on the left and follow the signs to Gomde.
PARKING
Please park your car in the designated parking lot before the main driveway. If you want to camp at Gomde with a camper, please let us know in advance, as there are limited places near the facilities.
