Green Tara Sadhana Practice with Lama Öser
December 7 - 16:00 - December 10 - 12:00
Tara is a female manifestation of the Buddha who primarily embodies swift compassionate activity and transcendent wisdom. The sadhana we will train in during this practice weekend is the outer Tara Sadhana from the treasure text Zabtik Drolma. It is also known as the Sadhana of the Essence of the Two Accumulations. This practice text is used in many traditions of Tibetan Buddhism and is renowned for its extraordinary power of blessings.
We will connect with Tara’s enlightened qualities of boundless wisdom and unconditional compassion in order to act for the benefit of all sentient beings. Especially in this day and age, her practice holds innumerable benefits and brings forth the great power of her compassion and blessings.
For practitioners of the online program “Tara’s Triple Excellence” this seminar is well suited to practice the outer Tara Sadhana. We will recite the sadhana together and receive teachings from Lama Öser. For this you should at best already have experience in sadhana practice or be able to engage in Tibetan recitation.
Some previous experience in Buddhist philosophy and practice is also an advantage, for example a seminar with Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche or a weekend seminar with Lama Thierry. If you do not have this prior experience but feel a strong interest in sadhana practice, please still register and let us know in the comments. For attending this seminar, having the empowerment for the practice is helpful, but not essential.
We start on 7th of December at 4 pm with the preparations of making tormas and setting up the shrine.
On the next day, Friday 8th of December, we will start the Sadhana practice.
Lama Öser will guide us through several practices a day.
The seminar ends on Sunday the 10th at 12 pm.
