Immerse yourself in a silent, powerful retreat that harmoniously combines meditation, mindfulness and mindful bodywork. In the inspiring surroundings of Rangjung Yeshe Gomde, you will find space to renew your mind, body and heart in a deep and lasting way.
Meditation is at the heart of this retreat. Under the guidance of Lama Thierry, an experienced Buddhist teacher, you will practise calming the mind and developing a clear, open presence.
Through guided sitting meditations you will explore inner peace, serenity and a deeper connection to yourself. Lama Thierry teaches the practice in an accessible way – for beginners as well as experienced meditators – and gives impulses on how mindfulness can enrich your everyday life.
To complement the meditation practice, Cecilia Pla leads gentle, mindfulness-based movement sessions.
Inspired by yoga, dance and the Feldenkrais method, the exercises promote flexibility, body awareness and inner stability. Through gentle, conscious movements, you release tension and strengthen the connection to your body – regardless of previous experience or physical condition.

Our kitchen team prepares delicious meals every day using regional and seasonal ingredients. The dishes are nourishing, fresh and adapted to all diets – vegetarian, vegan or according to special needs. Every meal gives you energy for your practice.
The seminar starts on Friday, 03.04.2026, at 16:00 and ends on Monday, 06.04.2026, after lunch.
If possible, please arrive by 15:30 so that you can check in in peace and quiet.
The daily sessions alternate between meditation, physical exercises and Tonglen practice. All program points are suitable for every level of experience and every body type.
If you have a yoga mat, belt or block, you are welcome to bring them with you – but mats are also available in Gomde.
This retreat is open to everyone – no prior knowledge is necessary.

Cecilia Pla
Cecilia Pla has more than 25 years of experience in the fields of dance, bodywork and yoga. She is a certified yoga teacher (Vinyasa and Anusara-inspired yoga) and is currently completing a four-year Feldenkrais training course at the Feldenkrais Institute in Vienna. Cecilia combines elements of yoga, dance and bodywork in her classes to promote flexibility, strength and increased body awareness.
In addition to her many years of movement practice, Cecilia has a Bachelor’s degree in Buddhist Studies and completed the Tibetan Translation Program at the Rangjung Yeshe Institute in Nepal. She has been living in Austria since 2020 and is a dedicated supporter of Gomde.
Lama Thierry
Lama Thierry is a former Buddhist monk with decades of experience in meditation and Buddhist mind training. His profound insights and compassionate style make him an inspiring teacher who conveys the essence of meditation and Tonglen practice in a clear and accessible way.
