Losar- Tibetan New Year
Level: All Levels
The time before the Tibetan New Year Losar is traditionally used to let go of the old and consciously focus on the new year. We cordially invite you to spend this special phase with us in Gomde.
On Monday, 16.02. (Protectors’ Day) we practise a Vajrakilaya Tsok – the last Tsok of the Tibetan year. This practice is considered particularly powerful for clearing obstacles from the old year and creating space for the new.
The Monday meditation takes place on the same evening at 7 pm, which you can also take part in.
Tuesday, February 17, the day before Losar, is traditionally used for cleaning the house. In Gomde you can use this day to clear your mind through meditation, say goodbye to old burdens and prepare yourself inwardly for the new year.
In the evening at 7 pm we practise Tonglen together.
On Losar Day, Wednesday, February 18, as part of the morning practice, we make a big sangh – a smoke offering that serves to create conducive circumstances and good conditions for the coming year.
You are cordially invited to spend one or more of these days in Gomde and consciously shape the time of transition.
