Join us for a four-part online series exploring the essentials of Buddhist philosophy and meditation — an invitation to deepen your understanding of what it means to live a mindful, meaningful life.

Guided by Professor John Dunne, this series will introduce key themes such as what Buddhism is really about, why we meditate, and how these ancient insights remain deeply relevant today. Each session combines clear explanations, reflection, and space for questions — offering both beginners and experienced practitioners a way to engage directly with timeless wisdom in a fresh and accessible way.

About John Dunne
John D. Dunne (PhD, Harvard University) is Distinguished Professor of Contemplative Humanities at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a core faculty member at the Center for Healthy Minds. His work bridges Buddhist philosophy, contemplative practice, and cognitive science, with the aim of reducing suffering and fostering human flourishing. John is known for his rare ability to bring depth, clarity, and warmth to both scholarly and practical discussions of Buddhist thought.
