Developing compassion- finding freedom

Kindness and compassion are part of our innermost nature. Yet, in everyday life, we often lose access to them. This seminar shows ways we can consciously rediscover these qualities—not only for others, but also as a path to inner freedom.

At its core is the practice of Tonglen , a powerful meditation that dissolves self-centeredness—the inner attitude that, according to Buddhist teachings, is a primary source of our suffering. By learning to consciously accept the suffering of others and wish them joy, we develop genuine compassion and open our minds.

In addition, we practice Shamata , the meditation of calmness, to strengthen concentration and inner clarity. Step by step, we develop a foundation on which we can anchor compassion, serenity, and openness in our daily lives.

This seminar is aimed at anyone who wants to learn or deepen their meditation skills and who desires to live a freer, more relaxed, and more compassionate life.
