Tersar-Lüjin-Chöd-Retreat – Cutting through all obstacles on the path to awakening

In the 11th century, the great Tibetan master Machik Labdrön created an extraordinary practice: a union of sutra and tantra, imbued with the highest vision and realized through radical generosity – complete surrender. It is the surrender of the ego, of the body, a radical letting go of all clinging. What remains is pure luminosity, filled with overwhelming compassion for all beings.

The Chöd practice Tersar Lüjin (body offering) according to the Chokling Tersar lineage is very compact and yet contains all the essential points. In this retreat you will not only learn how to play the instruments and sing the melodies, but you will also be guided by two highly experienced Chöd practitioners so that you can continue the practice at home.

This practice is deeply transformative.

Lead by

The seminar will be led by Tina Lang, who has lived in Nepal for around 30 years as a Buddhist practitioner and has studied Chöd intensively, including as part of her Master’s thesis.

In addition, we watch online teachings by Lama Tsultrim Sangpo and practice together online with nuns from Nagi Gompa, an important place of practice in the Chöd tradition.

Procedure & practical information

The seminar starts on Friday at 4 pm and ends on Sunday after lunch.
Please arrive by 15:30 if possible so that you can arrive and settle in.

The daily routine includes Chöd practice times as well as phases of quiet contemplation
