Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche vor Altar

Price: Suggested donation for participating with catering is 55 euros

Every year, we at Gomde pay homage to the moment the Buddha proclaimed the precious Four Noble Truths during his 'First Turning of the Wheel of Dharma' in Sarnath, India. On this special anniversary of the Buddha’s first teaching, the karmic results of both positive and negative actions are said to be multiplied a powerful ten million times. What better day is there to arrange a group practice at Gomde!

To help us accumulate this ocean of merit for the benefit of all sentient beings in just a few short hours, Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche will guide us through the morning and afternoon sessions of the beautiful ritual practice of the “Ocean of Amrita" — Ngakso Puja.

What then is the Ocean of Amrita? In Tibetan, ‘Ngak-so’ refers to Vajrayana tantric ‘mending.’ Hence, the purpose of this melodious and enchanting sadhana practice is to purify any damaged samayas, or sacred commitments, of our body, speech, and mind that jeopardize our relationship with our teachers and all those with whom we share a common bond in the Buddhist community. The practice is also particularly beneficial for those who have passed away, purifying their mind-stream and strengthening their links with positive circumstances.

The day is devoted to dispelling negativity, enriching our spiritual well-being and clearing the path to enlightenment. To be able to celebrate this special day with the Guru and with our Vajra brothers and sisters is an incredible opportunity whose blessing should not to be underestimated.

Everyone is welcome to attend this splendid event.

Translations of the puja will be made available upon request in German and in English for easy participation, while those wishing to simply observe and enjoy the joyful event are perfectly welcome, too.
